Gridcognition selected for London Tech Week ANZ Trade Mission 2022

Following a competitive application process, Gridcognition has been selected as a delegate for the UK Government’s 2022 London Tech Week ANZ Trade Mission and our team couldn’t be more excited!

London Tech Week is Europe’s largest technology festival and it attracts the world’s most inspirational founders, global leaders, senior investors and rising stars to collaborate and discuss the vital role of technology in society.

This year the festival themes focus on ‘transformative tech shaping our next decade‘ and ‘impactful innovation at scale for a more inclusive and sustainable world‘ and for a deep-tech start-up on a mission to accelerate the energy transition, it doesn’t get much better than that.

According to Startup News, the UK tech sector is witnessing high levels of growth, currently growing at 2.5 times the rate of the rest of their economy. The UK also has super progressive carbon and energy policies that are driving investment in the kinds of distributed energy projects we’re focussed on.

The trade mission will help our team build market insights, explore market opportunities, expand networks and identify potential partners and clients. It’s designed for Australian and New Zealand based scaleups preparing for expansion to the UK, we will have the opportunity to:

  • Hear from Trade Commissioners, Ministers and leaders from the tech ecosystem as they showcase UK opportunities
  • Attend roundtables, site visits, networking receptions and information sessions, including information on capital raising, brand building and accessing the UK market
  • Work with the UK Government to leverage support services and fast-track plans for a UK market entrance

The programme runs from 12-17 June  and we’ll be using the opportunity to meet with existing customers like SNRG – Empowered by Centrica and to build new relationships in the UK’s dynamic energy sector.

So stay tuned for more London Tech Week updates from us on LinkedIn and Twitter!
