Meet Lauren Mackay - our new Brand and Content Associate in London!

I’m excited to welcome Lauren Mackay to the Gridcog team.

Lauren joins us as a Brand and Content Associate, helping create and share content across our channels, working with different teams to grow our brand, and supporting our expansion into Europe.

What were you doing before Gridcog, and what got you into the energy space?

I’ve worked in marketing for the past three and a half years, and this is my first dive into the energy sector! Before joining Gridcog, I was a Content Marketing Executive at a B2B food tech company, creating content for food solutions across workplaces and hotels throughout the UK.

What is your role at Gridcog?

As Brand & Content Associate I’ll support the development and execution of our content marketing across key channels, helping to shape a consistent and engaging brand presence. My role spans video production, events, and social media, ensuring our storytelling resonates with our audience. I’ll work closely across teams to strengthen our brand visibility and play a key part in supporting our expansion into the European market. 

‍What attracted you to working with Gridcog?

I was really drawn to Gridcog’s values and mission, they really resonated with me. I wanted to contribute to something that’s striving for positive, meaningful change. It also looked like they had a great culture and were a genuinely great place to work.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy all the usual things that help keep me mentally sane - cooking, reading, and going for long walks. I’m always trying to get outside and spend more time in nature, whether that’s exploring my local area or one of London’s many green spaces. When I’m travelling, I really make the most of being outdoors - one of my favourite recent memories was quad biking and hiking up a mountain in Macedonia! At home or abroad, I also like to create videos for my travel YouTube channel. And finally, music is a big part of my life - I love discovering new music and heading to local events and festivals with friends.
